Your opinion only would apply in high traffic situations. My wife and I are the only ones that work at our general store, if we hired an employee we definetly go out of business. I don't think you realize the small profit there is in the convenience store biz. Wholesalers are raising their prices and charging the retailers delivery charges while we don't tack it on to the consumers to keep prices low and competitive. When we have 50 people a day using up our bathroom supplies, it hurts, especially when most don't buy anything.
